That makes me happy too! :-) This is my advent wreath. The Germanic peoples of Eastern Europe used to decorate their homes during the dark cold winter with wreaths made of assorted evergreens and brighten the long nights with fires, both harbingers of hope in a return of the warmer days of spring. Later Christians have held these old traditions alive.
Beautiful! It makes me feel peaceful and filled with joy. Festive Greetings to you and yours. I am eternally jealous of the fact that you get to spend your life in some of the most beautiful cities ever made... Vienna, Rome, Venice..... how do you manage it!! :-) Happy Holidays. Lizzi
Beautiful pictures. I was interested that you listed Stefan Zweig's The World of Yesterday among your book choices. I really enjoyed it. Have you read W.G.Sebald's work? Austerlitz in particular. Love from Marrakech
I seek to capture the beauty that is present in every day, and there is inevitably so much more than I could ever expect to grasp.
National Geographic Traveler About Merisi's: "Each entry features a collection of photos from Merisi's excursions around town. This is a great place to start if you are looking for some local perspective."
