Love the background, how it captures the rose. Look at that sunlight on the petals...nice work.

The light on the petals is stunning. I also love how the background is a bit fuzzy but the rose is so clear. Wonderful!

The sun was still lower than the rose. I walked by her a couple more times, at different times of the day. She's almost always in the shade, so I was lucky to catch her in that very moment when the morning sun lit her up.

Oh, breathtaking.
As one of John Irving's characters in "A Prayer For Owen Meany" says [actually it is Grandmother Wheelwright]... anyone can raise flowers and vegetables, but it takes a true gardener to raise roses!
