Red and White Roses

And when the west is red
With the sunset embers,
The lover lingers and sings
And the maid remembers.

Quoted from the poem
"Bright is the ring of words"
By Robert Louis Stevenson

i have just returned
from Oregon,
where a spent 2 days exploring
Portland's International Rose Test Gardens.

i was so overwhelmed
by the colors, the fragrance
and the history i found there.

thought of you
and your fine collection of rose photographs...

:-)

wish i had had your camera
and rose-capturing talent with me.

i was like a child in a candy store
and went from rose to rose to rose
trying to memorize all the names...
trying to sniff all the goodness into my memory...

SOMEPINKFLOWERS:
Welcome back!
You left home without a camera?
I am speechless. ;-)

SIMON:
I have thought long and hard, now I am sure I know where you'd want to see this poem. ;-)
