I hope you are going to show us a photo of your climbing rose!
I fell in love with peonies when my collegues in Rome started giving me armfuls of white and pink peonies for my birthday. Oh, how I missed that abundance while living in Washing, DC! At four to six dollars a stem, an armful hardly was an options.
I remember when I was a young girl, I went to Capri (that's an island near Neaples) and come back home with mostly shots of roses from Axel Munthe's garden. Everybody was so disappointed. They expected to see more of Capri than "only" roses. I shall see if I can find one of those photos. ;-)
I seek to capture the beauty that is present in every day, and there is inevitably so much more than I could ever expect to grasp.
National Geographic Traveler About Merisi's: "Each entry features a collection of photos from Merisi's excursions around town. This is a great place to start if you are looking for some local perspective."
Spotted by Locals
Merisi’s blog is a venture through the best photos of the Viennese landscape of a local: the Viennese dogs, the spring, and especially the cafes!
If you live in Vienna, this blog is gonna make you feel like you’re missing out on something and if you’ve been there, you’ll definitely wish you never left!
Merisi's Vienna was selected Blog of Note in February 2009

These red roses are so beautiful.
I have a new Don Juan climber and he is dark dark DARK red. Looks beautiful against the white brick wall that spans my back yard.
How long have you had this fascination for peonies and roses? You take such amazing pictures.
I hope you are going to show us a photo of your climbing rose!
