It had a good life, in the Volksgarten's rose garden. I felt like a bee, wandering from one rose to the next, all those beauties, and rose fragrances wafting through the air.
OK - I concede - ALL is beautiful! :-) (You were sweet to try to find something that wasn't). I don't think I saw anything that wasn't beautiful in Italy either... I guess if you look close enough, everything has its own sense of beauty - although there are parts of town here that I don't find particularly appealing... But I don't think I'll change the focus of my blog to 'ugly stuff!' :-) Do let me know if you ever run across anything that you think qualifies! :-) Maybe we can settle for 'ultra-tacky' - but that's probably much more likely to be found over here than where you are, I suspect!
Thank you, Tara. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so true, isn't it? I had they misfortune to be caught in a traffic snare the other other, along a wall that runs along the railroad tracks close to Vienna's main railroad station. I took some photos, and zooming in on some details, I still found them beautiful. I'll show you the photos soon. ;-)
I seek to capture the beauty that is present in every day, and there is inevitably so much more than I could ever expect to grasp.
National Geographic Traveler About Merisi's: "Each entry features a collection of photos from Merisi's excursions around town. This is a great place to start if you are looking for some local perspective."
Spotted by Locals
Merisi’s blog is a venture through the best photos of the Viennese landscape of a local: the Viennese dogs, the spring, and especially the cafes!
If you live in Vienna, this blog is gonna make you feel like you’re missing out on something and if you’ve been there, you’ll definitely wish you never left!
Merisi's Vienna was selected Blog of Note in February 2009

Poor little beauty.
But it is so beautyful with the petals on the grass.

Beautiful photos over on this blog as well, btw.
Thank you, Tara.
