I was really happy to catch the waiter the very moment the light hit the trays (at moments like this one I miss the old Ilford films, black and white photogaphy lets you play with composition and light to great effect).
I seek to capture the beauty that is present in every day, and there is inevitably so much more than I could ever expect to grasp.
National Geographic Traveler About Merisi's: "Each entry features a collection of photos from Merisi's excursions around town. This is a great place to start if you are looking for some local perspective."
Spotted by Locals
Merisi’s blog is a venture through the best photos of the Viennese landscape of a local: the Viennese dogs, the spring, and especially the cafes!
If you live in Vienna, this blog is gonna make you feel like you’re missing out on something and if you’ve been there, you’ll definitely wish you never left!
Merisi's Vienna was selected Blog of Note in February 2009

Are you really trying to say that you didn't have your eye on the waiter? ;-)
After all, it was a midsummer's afternoon, and no Puck out to play mischief yet! ;-)
I asked Terje when we had breakfast in the garden today if he wanted to go with me to Wien for a long week-end in the fall.
He said YES!
Great! :-)))
The weather's been so gorgeous, one perfect summer day after the other. Today it's a bit grey, I don't mind, and nature needs some water.
I like to imagine he is bringing that tray over to our table where you and I are having a "fun" conversation about how cute he is !!!! HA!
And then we would ask him if he had already plans for after hours. ;-)))
